Patricia Goldstone was born in Los Angeles and educated at Vassar and at Trinity College, Dublin, which she attended on a Maguire Fellowship. She is also a fellow of Hawthornden, Yaddo, MacDowell, and the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference.

She has been a reporter for the Los Angeles Times and has written for the Washington Post, Maclean’s, and the Economist Intelligence Unit, among others.

She is the author of Making the World Safe for Tourism (Yale University Press, 2001), Aaronsohn’s Maps (Harcourt, 2007), and Interlock: Art, Conspiracy, and the Shadow Worlds of Mark Lombardi (Counterpoint, 2015). She has been awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Playwriting Fellowship, a Massachusetts Arts Council Fellowship, and the Charles MacArthur Prize for Best Comedy at the National Playwrights Conference for her play, Charlie’s Wedding Day.

She lives in New York.
